The RMCA is a research institute with nearly 80 scientists among its personnel. They study Africa in all its dimensions, from biology to geology, cultural anthropology, and history. Over a century’s worth of studies on the African continent has led to the acquisition of unique and impressive collections that are used by its scientists and by researchers from all over the world.
In addition to research, the museum’s scientists contribute to sustainable development in the continent, share knowledge and skills, and build the capacity of African researchers.
